I wonder, would we ever try what Spurs are currently trying?

Adebayor, costing £70,000 per week ( seems a lot but only £10,000 more than Smithy) but £100,000 a week being chipped in by City. Tevez being linked with them ( surely another contribution from City).

Spurs cannot afford both players beyond these "loan" periods I assume are till end of season.

Do you think Newcastle would ever bring in expensive subsidised talent?

Clearly it would be at the expense of permanent signings, but might bring European football to SJP that little bit closer?

Could never see us risking that in the near future.

I hope not as well, it feels good being financially secure, unlike the days of Fat Freddie.

I'd rather not loan someone else's players unless its in a deal like Hatem Ben Arfa's was or an emergancy style loan, for instance Alex in January to cover for the reason of the season maybe.

I wouldnt like to loan someone else's up and comin players because i feel we should be bringing our own through. Loaned players from other clubs with no real chance of buying them at the end of that period seem a waste and generally arent too good for morale in the camp anyway.

    S. Ireland didnt really turn out well either...
