It was on the ITK mailing list I pay extra for. It's a bit like this thread but goes into more detail and it's getting better with each issue - there's football chat, interviews, puzzles, transfers scoops and all sorts. Basically reading it is like chatting to a good friend down the pub.
No one does, for a 3 year period he was the most exciting player on the planet to watch, strong as an ox with the grace of a ballet dancer.
Was it a) The Snooker Club? b) A Taxi Driver? C) Some bloke in the Botanic? D) Your mate has a distant relation in the Ticket Office?
I’ve gone through times with tw*** from the 70’s who said things like ‘if city were playing in their back garden they’d close the curtains’ Others who chuckled when you told them you went to City , and told me they were rubbish - from what they read in the paper ! And then the Hull fans of the 80’s taking the piss of things like singing ‘City til I die’ - blows were sometimes exchanged , even if we played for the same team . So when some of you spend day after day taking the negatives to ridiculous levels , maybe you’ve really experienced ‘f*** all with this club in your time supporting them and your expectations are just too high . I’m not an Acun sycophant but I am a realist and know that there are s*** owners , ‘would be ‘ and otherwise , I’ve worked for commercial businesses who’ve behaved terribly , one who were as honourable as they come but that was a long time ago . Business owners do what they want and how they want and do stupid things at times . Lastly I’ve been introduced to the new ‘whizz kid ‘ many times and in a few weeks you know they’ve blagged it somehow because the boss does not understand people . im sure this club and many others do the same , all clubs waste money on people .
Is that the equivalent of Geovanni was the highest paid Brazilian & Koren the highest paid Slovenian when we signed them?
Credit where credit's due, just when we think you can't get any funnier ... you're now calling Acun's mismanagement an EFL ****up? Brilliant.
Oh, stop it! It's like something new every day. I guess that's what happens when "he's lost all interest"
You really are a cringe little ridiculous ****er hehehehehe True though Its all part of the masterplan
Seri on joining Maribor... “To be honest, I don’t think about everything I’ve done in the past," the AFCON winner said. "I’d rather say that I’m starting my career now. I’m still young, in terms of my lifestyle, but there’s also a lot of passion in the way I look at football. It doesn’t matter where I am at a certain point in my career. "Now I’m in Maribor and I’m starting a new path here, with big ambitions. I want to help the club get to where it deserves to be. I know the history of Maribor, which played in the Champions League. This club deserves to return to the elite competition, and that’s what my goal at this club is related to. "The decision was easy because I know the owner (Ilicali). We’re friends, he’s a nice, passionate president who wants to build something big here and has big ambitions. "I’m happy that I joined him. When he called me and said he needed me, I had no doubts. That made the decision easier. I’m happy to join the club and I’ll do everything in my power to help achieve our common goals."
When the clubs steadied & on a much better financial footing, then I’ll believe he’s learnt a lesson!
