Schwarzer-Compression injury to his thoracic spine.

The number of times that Stockdale has had to bend down and pick the ball out of the back of the net this season I reckon Fulham will be looking for another keeper soon.

    Evening Ipswich fans,

How has Stockdale done for you guys since he has been with you? He looked very promising everytime he played for us but never really got much of a run. I know you've been struggling recently but how has Stockdale played?

Well he's had plenty of shots to stop,or not, so he should be nice & supple for you guys, he's especialy good at picking the ball out of his net?

" the news we all feared "

going to go very much against the grain here, and no doubt I will get a barrage of abuse but here goes. I personally certainly do not fear the news that he has returned to Fulham.

For a start, we have let in 42 goals in 20 games, which is also the worst in the league......

Now I'm quite aware of just HOW bad our defence is. Really I am. Sonko ALONE has been by far our best CB, Collins has at times looked quite solid and there's no doubt that is our best partnership.

However, what I will say is, yes Stockdale hasn't done badly,,,,,, but I personally DON'T feel he's been as outstanding as most people feel. Take Peterborough for example. 3 of the first 4 goals I didn't have ANY faith in him being a hero and saving a 1 v 1. I did with Davis, I did with Alexander too.

While I will say short term this is an ABSOLUTE DISASTER as he's far far better than Wright / Lee Barrett, this may actually be at not such a bad time. January is just around the corner, and I don't think there was any chance of Stockdale coming here again next season........

We're going to be with Wright for 3 games ( Derby home whatever keeper we have to be looking to playing well and winning.... ) and then its January.

Personally, I'd be rather happy if Alexander came back. I thought he did rather well in goal.

    Its an interesting point westlake.
In a similar vien the keeper of a relegated team normally stands out as one of the best players.
I think Stockdale is a very good keeper but as you point out we have picked up good keepers in the past and I dare say there are others we can go for again. Wright and ALB both done a good job for us when called upon and up at Burnley ALB kept the score down single handedly so its not all doom and gloom.

there is now way you can come out and say collins and sonko have been solid when you have conceded the most in the league! we conceded something like 70 goals but had to rely on the 81 goals scored to keep us in games. Even then we never shut up about our defence was! Even now we still kick off, just lucky enough to have 2 young lads in lees and white!

Also looks like weve made an approach for Andrews!

Would you like to loan Declan Rudd from Norwich?

Well, I'm going to look into this for you.

    Sonko - has played in 11 of our 20 games. Record with him / without. = With = let in 3 v Barnsley / 2 v Watford / 2 v Millwall first 20 then injured /
    Portsmouth home CLEAN SHEET / 2 v Cardiff / 1 v Brighton / West Ham CLEANSHEET / Boro CLEANSHEET / Coventry CLEAN SHEET / Blackpool 2 / Leeds 1 /

So Sonko, in total = 13 goals conceded in 10 games

Without Sonko, 29 goals conceded in 10 games............

    WELL DONE LEEDS FAN...................................
