Not many tbh. Restore law and order.
Undoubtedly they will get in the next election. Probably to find out they are full of broken promises like their predecessors.

I’m not much of a politician. The quotes say £40 a week for them. A drop in the ocean against the cost of housing, feeding, energy, schooling,NHS etc….
They’re a massive drain on resources. My 91 year old mother has been taken off end of life care, and now pays £1200 a WEEK for her care home. We’ve got to sell her house to pay the bill.
If we entered some of their countries illegally, we’d be shot, imprisoned or kicked out at best.
I honestly can’t understand folk who can’t see this?

I dont think people understand what they’re moving from to be honest. Even if it’s abject poverty. I also don’t understand why you think migrants are responsible for the economic challenges you face. Effective tax for those who are drowning in it will sort that bit. Farage wil give them bigger tax breaks then charge your mam for her health treatment.

Im not sure I could trust anything Farage or his cronies say. Farage has a history of saying stuff and then backtracking. The 350mill on the side of the brexit bus for example. So I'm not convinced he would be able to stop the boats, or would be bothered about it, if he got in.
To be fair, most politicians backtrack on promises, but a lot don't try to stir up hatred then run away once they've lit the touch paper.
The hate speech digs him and his orange mate across the water slyly spout, although not so slyly in Trump's case, will become Hitleresque if we are not careful.

I agree with a lot you say and we need to get on top of immigration.

However, the reason we have a lot of immigration is because of Brexit when the experts told us Brexit would make immigration a lot worse. The experts were right. Farage, Gove and Johnson told us to ignore the experts. Why would you or anyone vote for Farage when is a massive mitigating factor in the reason we have this problem?

It may not be happening as quickly as we all would like but at least this government has a plan and things are m going in the right direction. They did not make this mess, that’s down to Farage and the Tories but they need time to sort the clusterfk out. Whatever the liar Farage tells you it can’t be done in two weeks, like Trump told us the Ukraine war would be sorted in 1 day.

Trump and Farage are cheeks of the same right wing populist arse and can not be trusted. Look who is funding them that gives you a clue.

I feel for Sombrero. I see it a lot with work and with people I know who’ve got ill. Most have little space for bad luck. There’s enough cash out there for all to have a bit of cushion and to be honest I think if anyone with excess wealth doesn’t want us to have that they’re failed humans. The irony is the at the 350 million a week mentioned was for our NHS. He now wants to change to a mixed system where it costs us. He’s a snake oil salesman and people having a **** time are buying his grift.

It was the claim The King was fiddling his tax man or was a tax dodger I was referring to. I do not believe he has dodged any of his tax obligations, unless I have missed something. Raynor on the other hand has dodged her tax obligations.

We shouldnt conflate whether The King pays a fair share, with whether he is avoiding what he is obliged to pay. They are very different scenarios and need very different policing.

If we want to talk about fair taxation and what’s right and wrong it’s fair to talk about the monarchy and their various business estates, lords and ladies. They shouldn’t be untouchable. It’s archaic.

I am not debating that. My posts on this thread are about the claims about The King dodging tax. Those claims are innacurate and should be challenges imo.

I think this right, happy to be corrected, that they pay self calculated income tax though exempt, are exempt from corporation tax, capital gains and inheritance despite running a lucrative business from the land. His grant has substantially increased in a year when the nation is taking hits from a poor economy. Legally he isn’t a tax dodger no. Ethically I’ll make my judgement, you make yours.

My mate and his brother inherited £350k each when their mam died. They had to pay £60k each inheritance tax. Prince Charles inherited £500 million when his mam died and paid zero inheritance tax.

Exactly. I wouldn’t be as irked by it if it did t come from profits the land makes. That we cover the costs of. I think he should offer to pay it. In a country savaged by the cost of living issues it’s a pretty harsh set of blinkers

He didn’t pay inheritance tax when mummy died.

If we are going to debate Rayner and fair tax it’s only right we question the royss as Labour and the non doms funding Farage.
