Loved our transfer window, but I think we did unbelievable recruitment with the backroom staff. This is probably overlooked by folk outside the club but they'll be massive for us now and in the future.
We really are going under the radar, it’s great to see.

If things are going particularly well come January and we look like we may be comfortable (unlikely I know) then I'd love for us to take advantage of our status and target some really top Academy talent with the scope to making the leap into first team involvement in the next couple of years. The likes of Charlie Gray at Man City and such like.

It depends if you believe the links.

We were linked with about 10 players per position. It’s the usual transfer window rubbish.

We would have had bids knocked back for other players and some players would have chosen other teams instead of us. It happens to more successful clubs than ours too.

I’m still delighted with our business. Given us the best possible chance of stopping up. Over to the staff and players now to get enough points on the board.

Remains to be seen but I believe this is the best transfer window I can ever remember.

It’s a 10/10 window for me imo. At least a 9.5/10 tbf.

I was worried late on in the window when Chelsea recalled Guiu, Bologna won’t budge on Lucumi & Roberts wanted away for first team minutes.

But fair play to the recruitment - they go out and get another striker on a permanent deal, another defender who’s very highly rated, and a very shrewd cheap acquisition of a left footed right winger to replace Roberts.

Truly excellent.

Im sure i read somewhere that Gertrude (i cant spell his name) was with Slot before he went to Liverpool and Slot wanted to take him to Liverpool, but got Frimpong instead?

If results are going our way when January comes around i can see us going again to bring in even better quality

Me mate reckons he heard Neil isn’t signing a new deal because we’ve offered worse terms or something. I can’t see it when we’ve upscaled others mind

I didn't think that was allowed. I thought you had to offer at least equal. Would he not have an automatic rise anyway for promotion

There are time limits on contract offers think.

Dan has a bad agent IMO. No way would Dan have been offered less than the other Dan last season. This has already cost him a lot of money. Football moves very fast and I'd guess his agent has promised him the earth, secure in the knowledge that he won't lose out personally I'd be doesn't deliver..

I heard a bit ago from two separate people that his agent was demanding parity with some of the new players and the club said no. That’s their judgement to make for me like. His agent (and him) obviously has a different view.

Crazy that we are still going a bit under the radar even now, but long may it continue. Obviously it's very early in the season but if we'd managed to beat Villa, in think we'd have been on level points with arsenal

January will be the chance to bring in one or two players if needed and sell/loan out others

Two loans left to use. Should look at them to give us a bit of a lift. There’s bound to be out of favour players that could help us. Maybe by then we’ve made ourselves more attractive too. The only issue is where we choose to strengthen. Our squad remains bloody massive imo.

I hope Dan starts to think for himself.

This is costing him a lot of money that he may never get back. Some of these lads who have come in are internationals with CL experience and frankly, watching them you can see that.

The agent probably has other players. If he doesn't deliver for Dan, he'll profit from another.

He should sign what is sure to be a Dan Ballard level deal. That will secure his financial future. If he goes great guns, more will come.

But it is absolutely critical for him that he gets set up. After that, it's just more money. If he was my son, I'd tell him to sort it out now, whatever guff his agent is feeding him. One bad injury has him in the job queue in a couple of years time .

I sort of get it as we’ve had the easiest start on paper, imo
