I opted for paper tickets, as I don't want to be faffing about with phones at the turnstiles (also, **** the 21st Century). Getting a bit concerned that they haven't arrived yet.
Thread been up an afternoon and we are on page 5 already. Still 11 days until a ball is kicked. Think we should have guess how may pages this gets up to. I'll go 59
I'll be getting a paper ticket for this one. Rock up at the ticket office first thing and tell them I lost my wallet. Can go in a shoebox with all my other football tickets. Unless we lose. In which case I'll probably **** on it and set it on fire.
Saints win. No flowery text or descriptions to go with this one. Just the two simple words: SAINTS and WIN in bold capital letters and any pundit who says otherwise should be investigated by OfCom for telling flagrant lies in public.
I can't see it happening, but with the talk of selecting players that are going to be both up for the Derby and able to cope with the atmosphere and pressure. I'd be tempted to play McCarthy over Baz for this. He played the high pressure games throughout the play offs and did well and Baz has the added aspect of having played for them before too. I doubt it happens, but I'd be tempted to make that change personally. Although you could also argue it would ruin Baz confidence going forward if you pull him out for this.
Agree it won't happen but I would as well. McCarthy the only person in the squad who played in the thornhill at Fratton too. Since it's been clear he's going to be number one I've been terrified he'll make a mistake in this game. I bet they'd rather he plays than Alex tbh.
Yeah they definitely would. They still call him double agent Baz because he was great for them in league 1 but...not so much for us since signing.
What has Bazunu done to get dropped? Not sure why it's even being debated TBH. Why would you bring in a keeper who's played 2 games in the EFL Cup in about the last 6 months? Clanger waiting to happen.
Yeah I know it won't happen but to answer your question of why: - I think he's a better goalkeeper - He's got more experience of high pressure games
Well I don't think he's a better keeper at all. Especially from crosses. Every time he comes for a cross I think he's going to drop it or miss it completely. And when was the last time he kept in a high pressure game? The play off final 16 months ago probably. He's hardly played since then which would instantly have the alarm bells ringing if he was suddenly picked for this game. He did not look comfortable against Northampton.
