Yeah, my inclination would be to start Fellows and Azaz, with either Adarma or Fraser (possibly JRob) on the other wing. Caspar and Leo on the bench - the first in case we need some more midfield control because we’re winning, the second in case we’re losing/drawing and need some madness.

What I don’t want to see is five at the back.

By all means be physical but no need for crunching tackles.
It’s not like the 1970/80s where you could get away with that and I can see a ref making an early example of the first player who goes in hard. I would sooner that example was a skate rather than a Saint.
We have several players now who are comfortable running the ball at the opposing players and drawing a second yellow could be a decent game plan.

Nothing wrong with a crunching tackle if you get it right.

I'd probably go Fraser on the other wing. Would rather Robinson as a bench option for this I think.

Strongly disagree. Crunching tackles are still very much part of the game outside the PL. As long as you win the ball nothing wrong with going in hard.

Just think it'll set the tone early on and the crowd will love it. Fair point re the ref but it can often go the other way in derbies where they don't want to get the cards out too early.

We can work on this brother. You need to embrace this. Remember, hatred brings people together. If anything it builds community, it unifies us. Spite is a severely underrated mental health tool and by being blasé about how big a deal this is, you're letting down the ghosts of all of our ancestors.

Now, get yourself on twitter and get some mad rants about the fish ****ers into the digital realm. You know it makes sense. Xx

I’d also bring Mark Dennis on with 85mins to go.

I dunno; if he scores a 97th minute winner, and celebrates by doing a Cantona on John PFC Westwood, I think we'd accept it <laugh>

Oh how amazing would it be if we battered them.

I'm not greedy though. I'll take a 2-0 with half their coaches breaking down afterwards on Marine Parade.

I think it will be intense and frustrating ans thunk it will be a 1-1 draw. Portsmouth will score after 10 minutes and dominate rhe first half. We will huff and puff until we equalise around 75mins. The last quarter of the game will be all Southampton and we will hit the post before the game finishes.

I think it will be much closer than is being mooted here. A result for Portsnouth will mean more for their supporters.

And how do you work that one out? Both sets of fans desperately want to win derbies. To say a result would mean more to one than the other is ridiculous in any derby.

-3 absolutely disagree! It's a return to the classic 3-1 for the super soaraway Saints.

Don't think anybody is saying it won't be close.

These games are almost always tight and cagey affairs.

I'm going to my first live one and I moved a family holiday to Italy by a couple of days to be home for it so I'm going for a win.

Weirdly I'm going for a big win (4-1) as I think portsmouth will fold a bit and do think we are underselling the new guys a little bit and there is no way Bazunu is going to keep a clean sheet in that game.

When was they last time their current team played in a ground with that many people at the level of hostility that they'll get? Got to be daunting for them at the least.

Weirdly, I’d love a carbon copy of the Wrexham game with the timings. How bloody brilliant would that be!
