Some dumb fans jumped on it, but it was obvious to anybody remotely switched on that it could never be the case as the rules in place for a time (and those introduced immediately after the takeover) wouldn't allow it - which is precisely why it was so stupid for Klopp to say it. Still said it though, the big dumb ****. Klopp has played a part in your success (and still spent way more than we could while doing it), but the support base and the revenue streams that generates were built from long, long ago... You know, when you were successful and spent more money than anybody else. Organic growth. Just ask Sucky.

I suppose what I was trying to say was that for the total possible fee of £69m we paid for Voldemort (Solanke region - £65m inc bonuses), he can have as bad an opinion of great German players as he likes, as I think he'll likely turn out to be a better investment than Big Dom.
