It's going to be quite interesting with Ekitike, Salah, Isak (reportedly) and Wirtz all in the same team. Who will actually be top goalscorer this season? Ekitike off to a good start. Salah has been our top goalscorer every season for last 5 decades. Will he be dethroned. Wirtz hasn't found his form yet but we know it's there. Isak will be the center point up front (assuming rumoured acceptance goes through) Gakpo added as a surprise alternative. Or it will be someone else?
I've gone with Salah just because I know he can do it. The new lads have yet to prove they can and I don't think Gakpo will outscore any of the others. Ekitike is off to a really good start. Isak's reputation suggests he will be prolific, if he can stay fit. I think Wirtz will get single figures and hopefully they'll all be winners.
If Ekitike reacts the right way here he will get lots of goals. Isal can't be fit but salah looks miles off. But hey. 1 goal, 1 assist from 3 games for the awful mo salah eh?
I don't think Salah will get 20, never mind be the top scorer. I don't think he'll be automatic pick going forward
It's like the Mane, Firm, and Salah days again... Not that we haven't had good strikers since then, but there are three different outlets for scoring now. Its not obvious who which prong will be always used to attack. Salah is still strong, but I think he is slowly slowing. I think he will get more assists than goals this season... But still be very valuable.
I think will be a lot more even split. I feel in prem could end up with something like Salah/Isak getting 15-20 each with Ekitike and gakpo getting 10-15 each as will be lots of rotation.
I think Slot likes Gakpo and won't drop Wirtz, maybe go 4222 Not saying Salah won't play, he will. But I don't think he'll start every game now Excellent problems to have though
I think he will (major games, of course), unless he suffers a catastrophic dip in form. He'll have a tantrum if he doesn't.
I wouldn’t worry too much about Mo, he can’t simply be doubled up on all season with the talent in the middle - he will get more space and bang them in as usual. Find it difficult to go against him, so gets my vote
