    Yes of course because nobody else was going to offer him 110k a week...

    At the end of the day he didn't try his best and as you said his body language pretty much told the story. Never spoke to the fans during his captaincy , never spoke to us during the relegation fight and then just ****ed off without apologising for the fans who at first turned in their thousands to welcome him.

    Owen epitomised everything that was wrong with our team the season we went down. He was the captain, he was meant to be leading the club out on the pitch, but like you said - his body language and effort levels were shocking. That's why I despise him. Paid £110,000 a week and couldn't be arsed to even pretend to care.
