It’s been a good start to the season so far but there’s a long way to go. 10 games is my own milestone to judge our ‘trend’ and form. Some of the stragglers could also find form. I’d be amazed if Sheffield United are still in the relegation zone after 10 games.
For me a lack of ambition- do you put all your eggs in one basket clearly city did with this Luton striker that failed a medical.
We don’t know what else went on behind the scenes, I’m as disappointed as you we didn’t bring anyone in, but no point bringing another duffer in just to say we’ve brought someone in, it has to be someone that’ll improve us, the trouble is they’re hard to find, especially at the price we’re looking at, we do have to stay in FFP rules as well.
to get into top 6 we "need" around 19 points every 12 games dropping 4 points against Charlton / Derby was an annoyance! currently working on my last "EOS forcast" made it difficult because because started at game 13!!!! but have 10 days. it is looking like we have a reasonable spread of teams " in order of play" this season until MARCH / APRIL then the going gets really tough ...... from 30 points lucky to get 12-15 so need to be on 60 - 62+ points after game 36 [ ave 1.75 pts a game last season ave less than 1.5! ]
somewhere back in realms of time I mentioned Kone as a target ......... think asking/ a price ? was less than £5m now we have sent BELL to cover his transfer to QPR 2 and a bit games and 2 goals!
I really hope that Fally can develop. He seems a bit livelier since he returned. I can’t see Armstrong improving tbh. I’d push McRorie up front before bringing Armstrong on (provided we could cover defence to allow it of course).
I don’t know enough about Kone to comment, as an example what were Fally’s stats last season after his first couple of appearances for us?, I get your point, but it’s a bit early yet to. Judge.
