I’m not so fussed about either now Cirkin misses too much football and I don’t think Neil is anywhere near the standard we’ve now got in the middle of the park.
Neil is a good asset from a PSR position. I would be shocked if he made the step up. Cirkin to me could make the step up.
Can't be losing them on frees tho, that's why I want them to sign new deals Would love both to really kick on but priority has to be not losing them on a free
January will be fascinating. So much riding on what we do between now and then. If we are sat 12-15th we can sign another level up.
Disappointing that we haven’t been linked with any more players yet. Window opens up in less than 4 months time. KLD out.
I think they could both cope okay. Especially if the team gets a decent start. We'll need bodies, especially in midfield and it will be up to Dan to step up. Good players do this, and the same applies for Cirkin, who for all he is written off as a crock by some, played 35 games last season.
Lucumi for L09 in defence would be ridiculous. So much depth. I guess the club have a succession plan if Neil leaves. I wouldn’t directly replace him. I would prefer to see sadiki and diarra as the middle two if Xhaka is missing, and add a more attacking option to compliment them. Someone with goals and assists in them, but who has their running power and presses well. Next level signing. I know this thread is for the winter window, but we could have some really monstrous young players next season if we nurture them well. Rigg, Hume, Ballard, mayenda, Isidor, sadiki, diarra, talbi, and adingra could be really special. I hope someone like adingra really kicks on. He was outstanding in AFCON 2 years ago, particularly MOM and two assists in the final against Nigeria. Nott’m Forest right back was on toast that day, and is one of the better full backs in the prem these days. I haven’t seen Adingra reach that level for us yet. I back our coaching team to get the best out of him, because he can ghost past players and score goals at his best.
i would still like to see some of these lads get that chance, will pick onien and neil but really anyone that came up from the sh1t days of div 3. onien was so hyped up in his first game he got dropped yet he worked hard on himself and his game and keeps proving us wrong, neil was pretty much a spotty faced kid who had a hell of a lot to learn and although he stuttered last season this is the one that counts...i hope he digs in and signs the contract and proves to himself and us that he can be the guy.
As i havnt a clue with psr and all that, do we have much room to spend in january after what we have done in the summer?
Digressing but the highlighted word is 1 of only 2 in the Oxford Dictionary where all the vowels are in the correct order. Anybody care to try and guess the other one or is it a case of eff off you sad little tw*t?
Did anybody actually get one player we were linked with in the last transfer window. No is the answer your looking for and methinks it will be a repeat in the next one.
It depends if you believe the links. We were linked with about 10 players per position. It’s the usual transfer window rubbish. We would have had bids knocked back for other players and some players would have chosen other teams instead of us. It happens to more successful clubs than ours too. I’m still delighted with our business. Given us the best possible chance of stopping up. Over to the staff and players now to get enough points on the board.
