For me 6/10. In Joao Pedro and Estevao I think our attacking options have been boosted, we have someone else in Pedro who can operate as a 10 as well as a striker which means Palmer wont have the world on his shoulders and we have someone who can slot in when he is injured. And Estevao looks very exciting, the kind of flair player like Robben or Hazard who will be a great, hopefully. Delap, looks okay, young and a physical threat, gives us another option up top and another way to play if we want to break down a low block. Gittens and Garnacho, to replace Nkunku and Madueke seems like for like, and I dont think they will move the needle at all so although we made out moneywise by replacing N and M for G and G, squad wise I think it was kinda pointless. Although not a new signing, having Santos as a midfield option will be a great boost to our midfield options, especially since Lavia looks be a constant sick note. We didnt get a CB or GK.......thats why its only a 6. If we had gotten Donnaruma and Guehi, it would be a 9/10 and we would be competing with Liverpool for the title imo. As it stands, I think we will be 3rd, or maybe 2nd at a push, if Gyokeres and/or Eze dont perform at Arsenal. In short, two great signings, one good signing, two meh signings, and two glaring omissions. So for me, 6/10. maybe a 6.5
i reckon your assessment of players is pretty well spot on, Pedro and Estaveo look a cut above, Gittens and Garnacho no better nor worse than Madueke, though Nkunku was simply a misfit, great player for a differently set up team to ours, so a sensible sale. Delap hasn't had a chance to show yet, but not sure he's more than a back up to a sharper more skilful type of player we haven't seen since Drogba or Costa. With more experience he might turn out to be a Shearer style of player which would be a serious plus !! Santos is the big question for me. If he can do for us what he did for Strasbourg, bring our forwards into the game from midfield, and pop up to score lots of goals himself, then we could be knocking on the door of top 3. If we stick with Fernandez, I think we'll continue to struggle against the Teams that we just can't seem to break down..
