Left footed winger, bags of experience, good output record, with minimal expectation, I know who I'd be rather starting or coming off the bench and it isn't Roberts
It's a good move for him and the right thing to do. Whatever anyone thinks of his performances, he gave us some stand out moments over the last few years, notably for me the play off semi final goal and the playoff final assist. His linkup with Amad was a thing of beauty. Also, it has to be said, he's been an excellent player to have around the club, participated in a lot of what the club does in the community. Top man, I hope he smashes it for them.
A "panic buy" is when you wildly over pay for a player you probably do not need. The diametric opposite of this deal.
Agree considering villa spent £17m on him a few years back, when £17m meant something in transfer speak, there must be a good player in there.
Best transfer window we've ever had. Can't complain about a single thing. The club have backed Le Bris to the hilt and given him the squad to fight and secure survival.
We absolutely did, Guiu going clearly changed things. I don’t think this would have been the result if he’d stayed
You mean, like Liverpool in the last few hours of the window paying out a record fee to replace a player they only bought last week
we absolutely did not…the Brobbey deal has been on the cards for a month as he has said in his speech which means its been ongoing and not a last minute thing
I hope we ‘panic buy’ some more players for £2.5 million with 140 goal contributions in 9 seasons like. 18 of which were last season, by the way…
There’s an element of short term about Traore but that’s absolutely fine. He’s a player that I always thought was decent and we certainly needed a left footed forward. The business we’ve done doesn’t leave many obvious gaps and should mean that we can have some continuity next season. We still need some homegrown players so maybe we can find a top quality left footed winger next summer.
Well lads and lasses it’s been a pleasure, best window of our lives. It’s been exhausting at times so can’t imagine what it’s been like for the board. Until January…
