Did anyone read this btw? Rant then 7 bullet points then another huge rant followed by another 5 bullet points then a load more ****. Pretty much the definition of TL;DR
doubt it. When asked about why he behaved the way he did during his Liverpool interview his response was "yeah, because I want to win trophies and it's a simple as that"
Interesting if so. No reference to alleged broken promises. But then again he doesn’t seem to have mentioned getting a lot more money so who knows.
No loyalty fee paid to him but if reports are correct he’s trousered a princely sum of around £30m by way of a signing on fee….oh and taking home around £400k a week. I’m slightly sceptical on that last part as that is astronomical money even for them but it could well be true. Wouldn’t surprise me if he insisted on being penalty taker as well but we’ll find that out soon enough I guess. Hope the **** crashes and burns for them, or better still gets cattled at some point soon. I’m not exactly ecstatic about the whole Wissa saga either but you’re not really comparing apples and apples here. I’m happy with our business albeit we could have done with an AM ideally to give than extra bit of needle in the middle. I’m expecting the likes of Barnes, Murphy and Willock to be moved on and upgraded by this time next year at the very least. Hopefully with some decent commercial deals in place once our new appointments upstairs are in situ our transfer kitty for the next 2-3 years will be rather healthy and we can really start to kick on. Just the small matter of some ****ty national games to get out of the way now and then we can get back down to business.
We are probably short a midfielder but as it is the window has worked out well. Both strikers we've signed look good finishers (well we know Wissa is). We look better than last year with this group. Appreciate others have strengthened but happy with the business all things considered.
