I can't see us ever getting an offer of £30m for him again.

 

Howe is a hoarder

 

We had the entire ****ing Summer to replace Wilson with Wissa, yet did it on the 1st September. Woltemade replaced Isak in plenty of time, how the **** could we not have something, anything, lined up to fleece £30m out of Frankfurt and sign someone decent?

Like I said, it is what it is, it's been incredibly badly handled and it simply cannot be allowed to be this bad again. We are really, really fortunate to get out of this window better off than we were. Maybe there's some semblance of credit due to nephew Howe and Nickson doing something/anything against a backdrop of incompetence, but by Christ this transformational window that it was supposed to be has realistically been a series of marginal upgrades to the subs bench.

 

He's just a bit thick sometimes, seemingly.

 

This is the biggest mistake in our recent history. Howe will be the one responsible.

That 28.5 million would have unlocked some serious spending power in January and now we are left with a **** player.

Poor end to the window.

 

So has Wissa been signed?

 

Not yet.

 

He's beige....he's the type of guy that slows down an extra 10 mph when approaching a speed camera... Just in case.

 

I wouldn't trust the **** to cover as a scarecrow let alone a premier league striker. ffs. Totally ruined my day now.

 

Tbf it was only a loan with an option to buy... Hardly a big deal.

At least we can spend big next summer when we have no European football.

 

I'm quite happy overall. It's not "wow" but we have a stronger squad. And much more scope in the next few windows than we would have had.

 

The flip side to NUFC being incompetent is, if Frankfurt left it so late to bid, maybe it just couldn't get sorted in time. Was Osula even going to get a medical done in time? If so, where?

 

Hopefully but it won't surprise me if we buy some ****e like Mainoo and Maguire and maybe sprinkle in Gallagher.

 

Like I said earlier. Reminds me of the first window without the Bruno deal. Solid players that will all quietly add to the squad and performances without being transformative. Think we'll see a difference and improvement at latter parts of games with better bench options.

Quite possibly a return to the all out pressaholics system from a couple of years back with rotation available.
