We've done alright. Are we linked to an absolute belter of a signing ?

I get the impression our business is done on the incoming side.
Not that I have any sources.

Anyone think we might sneak in a late signing?
    Or let anyone else leave?

Sorry, slightly off topic. Though late signings (in or out) can still influence our chances of staying up of course.

I don’t think we'll let Ramsay go without having a decent replacement lined up. If we can keep him until summer Asiimwe might be ready by then.

Given that our next game is home to the spanners it gave more importance on us getting a result today.

Should we not beat the spanners, even allowing for a draw, we'll comfortably be bottom six.

I'm a fan of Jones and have every faith that he'll give it a bloody good go in trying to keep us up. This season was always going to be difficult after 5 seasons in the 3rd division.

We have been given a decent budget, Jones has gone with players he knows, plus getting decent 3rd division players. On paper it has been decent recruitment so it comes down to if they can gel and get the results.

I have always held the belief that the teams around each other will generally have a similar home record, winning the away games is the key to success. If we can win 5 aways that will give us a fighting chance of staying up.

Also the position after 15 games barometer is usually a good guide.

We can’t rely on lonesome Leaburn up front - he needs a strike partner - Olaofe ?

We can also not rely on him to stay fit.

At first I thought we had a really strong bench, but not so sure now. NJ seems reluctant to use them until the last few minutes. Previously we had Aneke after an hour every game.
I'm not convinced Kaminski is better than Mannion.
Early days yet but the idea that we will win games by outrunning and outfighting teams, which is what NJ said, is not enough, as QPR showed.

I think it’s in the balance personally. Well be in the relegation fight for sure

It is incredible that people are writing Kelman off already(granted that I think he was a bad signing given his goalscoring record), also people are raising doubts on Kaminski. It's madness, we have only played four games<doh>

Think on the whole we’re playing ok just need someone more clinical up front - I still think Godden would do a job for us when fit again :emoticon-0148-yes:

Agreed it's way too early to write players off.
However, the team needs to show some fight against Millwall on the 13th.
If we lose we lose. But we must go down scrapping.
I don't want to see any hugs & handshakes at full time. And I don't want to see our players second to every 50/50 ball.

If we bend over for a :emoticon-0172-mooni against them that will be hard to come back from.

Patience is the key with all new signings.

Him and others have to hit the ground running - it’s a really tough division

Agreed, this one is hard enough without the fact of us being 5 seasons out of it.

What's cost us is two winning goals scored by players with the sort of quality we just don't have.
