Rangers FC has reached an out-of-court settlement with former finance director Donald McIntyre, who was suing the club over alleged breach of contract. Mr McIntyre won a legal bid in October to have £300,000 of the club's assets frozen pending the outcome of his case. When the matter called again at the Court of Session in Edinburgh, judge Lord Hodge was told that both parties had reached agreement. The terms of the settlement of the action were not disclosed. Mr McIntyre, 52, was suspended from his position, along with club's then chief executive Martin Bain, in May. Looks like Lawell got the ball rolling Darned Timmys
Look out for tomorrow's papers and a "source close to Craig Whyte" stating that McIntyre admitted he was in the wrong and settled out of court for a bag of marbles, a jeely piece and some magic beans. Let the spin begin.
Tomorrow look out today for posts about Martin Bain being hes the last in a line of people asking for money Better get your conspiracies in soon folks you've not got long.
From Whytey boy in the record today; Mr Clark asked if this was because Whyte had been banned from being a director until that point. Whyte said: 'That is a matter of public record.' Mr Clark said: 'Was the ban for trading while insolvent?' Whyte said: 'I don't have a recollection of why I was banned without legal documents. I am not going to say in open court and get it wrong.' Whyte told sheriff Nigel Ross the case was an attempt to embarrass him. He said of Martin and Jenkins: 'They thought I would settle to avoid the publicity of coming here today and that's why we're here. Love the boy's line about people out to get him. Wasn't that what he said about the bbc? Btw, banned as a director? First he was suing, now it's public record? What a walloper!
Whyte has got a pretty dodgy past if the bbc programme is right - and so far whyte has done nothing concrete to deny or seek redress. His business interests seem to be always on the wrong end of legal action. Remembering the treatment that the Whyte's and Kelly's got when they were in charge at Celtic, I just find it funny that the papers treat him with such kid gloves, especially after the bluster he has come away with.
