You have someone like Vlahovic available for £30 million and go for a 29 year old player that is on strike. ****ing madness.

I can see him being sold to Saudi for £25-30m when his contract is up to balance the books.

Would help in PL terms but, for Europe, don't UEFA just blanket refuse to accept all related party transactions?

Glad we've moved quick. Im not bothered about Wissa age as contracts mean nothing now. Basically you get a player for 2-4 years and they are gone. Best get used to it. Sell Wissa to Saudis in 2 years for £30m and all will be good ( yes is copium but that's how Im seeing it so I wont listen to any other view)

Vlahovic is on 400k per week at Juve, we'd be mad to go for him.

Whilst we haven't done this to date, I can see it happening this time around - I'm with you, I have to convince myself that's the narrative to make it make sense. He's also potentially missing for January. Nothing about Wissa replacing Isak is even remotely palatable. If we'd been serious about Vlahovic, Kolo Muani, Openda, as well then it's ok. If we do sign a creative spark today, like Lopez, then it also makes sense. If we close shop after Wissa then Newcastle have again had an underwhelming window, as usual, and more critically have handled the Isak exit so poorly as it's cost us at least 4 points already. We could've bought Wissa for £55m in ****ing July, the sooner some competence is in the board room the better.

So we've only moved quick in the sense of today - we've been painfully, point-losing slow over the window yet again.

Surprise, surprise. What did you honestly expect?

Everyone has known for weeks that we were likely to be sitting with a sack full of cash in our back pocket. Whatever deal we were going to do for a forward we were going to be rinsed. Blame the Rat, not the Club.

As for players available I would prefer Wissa to the others. His record last season is as good as Isak’s. He will score goals and combined with Zwei Meter Man and a slight change in tactics and rotation of squad he will do well.

He's our new 9, always was.

Basically we've swapped Isak for wissa and woltemade and sorted psr for the next few years. Great business
