Last day off for young un back to school hair cut and all that stuff whilst following deadline day on the radio cuppas all day first one right now
Nice. On the retirement not the travelling. Used to feel a bit of a treat but now you fly at **** o’clock, sit in some meetings, have a reasonably nice dinner when you’d rather be at home and **** off again. I’ll normally take a day of holiday and explore a bit but still ****e.
The novelty of business travel wore off years ago. Booked a late afternoon flight, so I get to the hotel, dinner and bed. Couldn’t get a late flight on Thursday, so home Friday and the joys of the M25 Friday afternoon! Before Covid I could fly to Italy and back in a day, which I did many times. Long day but at least I was in my own bed!
If I’m schlepping to the Milan office 20 minutes outside of ****ing Milan I’m getting that breakfast buffet at least
