He'll score goals for you of that there is no doubt, he's just another cog in your machine sadly now, I'm more interested to see what this means for Ekitike and whether they both play or if he will just become a squad player now. £130m is good business for us all things considered, I do think he may struggle not being the centre of attention, the main man and penalty taker but Salah isn't gonna be around forever so he'll just have to ride it out. I think he may prove rather difficult to keep happy but you have him for 2 seasons at least by my reckoning and he'll probably do well for you. Hey, here's an idea. Instead of keeping the agreement secret until later in the day, lets announce it early morning so when we try to get other players in, the selling clubs will feel sympathy for us and wont put the prices up........

Sad on one level to see him go. The Isak we had for most of his time here was a class player and a top goalscorer.

Pity he turned out to be a weak, selfish, money driven rat with zero class. He's broken and lost any respect or love from the Toon Army but that won't bother him one jot as he has the wrong priorities in life.

Also sad to see that his 'tactics' to force the move have ultimately been successful but can totally understand financially why PIF have sold. Very easy when its not your money to insist that a huge financial risk be run by not selling him. Hanging in the background was his ability to leave his contract next summer anyway.
