Mate. This is not a dig at you, but to football overall.. How do you know the lad has scoring talent unless you give him chance. Very 1990, ,'s, can't score unless you are a big lad
BEK moving to Stuttgart on loan with an obligation to buy. €5m loan fee with €25m obligation. Guess this is down to the timing where full transfers are difficult on the last day but could be due to cashflow from Stuttgart …
God Chelsea must be worst for that having to spend millions for buying back players they sold, and also letting players go like Salah when they were young
Man United and Pogba. And I followed them far closer at the time. In his final season they had a central midfielder crisis and still didn’t play him and he left for free. I think they played Park and O’Shea in one game. Perhaps it was already clear he was not going to sign an extension at that point. And he turned out to be a nightmare. But think how much he cost them
Booo. Didn't want him to get his move having behaved like that. I get Newcastle were in a horrible position, but it's just going to continue to promote player power over the clubs.
I didn’t want Liverpool to succeed after all their antics including all the pundits weighing in and saying Newcastle had to let him go. And signing Newcastle’s first choice replacement first seemingly out of spite Not that I want to feel too much sympathy for Newcastle either given they cheated that Covid year in order to stay up So I don’t think there was any outcome here I would have liked
Good luck to him! Hope he stays injury free and makes the step up to full time mens football. Sounds like it was a low 6 fix figure fee (so maybe covers Jelerts loan fee at best) with apparently a significant sell on clause percentage, albeit I doubt it would amount to much given Orients record sale is £1.5m.
I don't get Liverpool's transfer policy. It's like they want to pay more than they need to. It feels like the same situation as VVD. Unsettle a player they want. Piss off the club they want to buy the player from. Pointlessly drag out the transfer while the player throws their toys out of the pram. Buy player for more than if they had treated the selling club with respect. They could have bought VVD for £10m less. They could have bought Isak for £15m less.
I think that’s peanuts for them given their over inflated sales and sheer amount of revenue. For them it’s all about the power play. Not sure they’ve ever really got over the “knock them off their perch” comments from Ferguson. Especially the ego hit it must have been for them when TAA wound down his contract to join Real Madrid
