    0-0.

I mean - I'll be Ok with a point at Anfied seeing as we're without: SAKA, ODEGAARD, HAVERTZ and SALIBA.

But Martinelli is a real hindrance this half as we have no threat down the left - if it opens up he would be more useful but his control under pressure is just not good enough.
Merino is a nuisance but doesn't offer anything at all creatively.

Hopefully we'll get Eze and Odegaard on this half.

This is the worst era of football in my lifetime watching since the 70s.
The lack of any real talent is astounding.

Our team today - there is a such a lack of techincal flair and ability in the starting 11 that it's soul destroying to see it.
Very worried watching Zubimendi - he looks so far out of his depth at PL level.
Martinelli looks like he wants out.
Gyokeres is what he is - he'll get on the end of chances but has nothing exciting about him.

We need Saka and Havertz back fast - light years ahead of what is on the pitch today - and we need to get Eze in there right now.

    Looks checked out to me.
Don't blame him - the twitterati Arsenal fans have been trying to drive him out of the club for some time.
He simply doesn't want to take on players anymore and lose it.

This is all nonsense but whatever. The problem is not the talent it's the systems. Go watch a game from 1998 after this and you'll see how open it is in comparison.

Disagree Bear, but yeah - whatever it is, it's boring to watch.

On the plus side - it looks like City won't be in the race again this year.

Tbf I expected us to keep it tight in the first half.

We can bring on Eze, Odegaard or Nwaneri if we need to take it up a gear

Well deserved result - for us.

    Negative and boring.
Football was the winner with that free kick and we're just spoliers now with this way of playing.

As for the signings, Mosquera looks good, Madueke OK as back up.
Zubimendi and Gyokeres are not PL quality - i don;t care if its early, neither of them even have the basics for this level of football.
Eze looks like he could be the best signing.

Rice needs to play as a defensive midfielder - not good enough going forward.

But with this style overall we're going nowhere.

Arteta and his coaching staff need to take a long hard look at their methods. Half the squad is injured already - and aside from Odegaard none of them are contact injuries.

Havertz haters can go and do one - I saw him dominate Konate.
    Today Gyokeres was completely pocketed.
Excuses flooding in already on social media, but today I saw no ability to hold the ball up, no pace in behind, no intelligent running off the ball to create space, no strength in the tackle.

The good news is that Havertz looks like he might be back soon - at which point he should start.

Totally pissed off though with that game - the more i think about it the more pissed off I get.
Liverpool are not even that good.
We played scared and for a draw.
    It is simply not acceptable.

You need to remember that in his first months with us Havertz was considered a complete waste of money.
Try and cut the bias and give the new guys a break

Havertz was just fine in midfield at the start of his career with us.
He was slated before he kicked a ball for us by idiots - only they called him a complete waste of money and it had nothing to do with his performances.
When he moved up top, he was excellent - and the same people still call him a waste of money.

We need him back - badly - because THAT today from Gyokeres is not acceptable.

Arteta is never going to win you one of the big two trophies. Missed your chance I reckon and need to start thinking about a successor.

Thought you lot were pathetic today. Liverpool have looked vulnerable defensively this season but you seemed content to just sit back and play for set pieces.

Don't think he's ever really recovered from your collapse in 2023 and has been terrified of conceding ever since. Which worked fine to a degree for a while but you won't take that final step being so cautious.

I don;t think that is the issue Libby
For two seasons we were fantastic - and only lost the title because, quite simply, City were just a tad better and brilliant.
We didn't need to change anything.
Last year we had an injury crisis that no team could recover from and still finished 2nd and made the CL semi final.

I think we have sunk ourselves with this transfer window - which I think is a disaster on early evidence. The amount of money spent and what we have got for it is extremely worrying and it's going to be a a weight on our shoulders for years to come.

You are unfortunately correct today about us though - pathetic and worse, an embarrassment to the club and league with the way we played.
We absolutely deserved to lose and it's what i meant earlier when I said football was the winner with that result today.
