It's always been a position of great importance, but everyone kinda brushes it off. Everything is built from the back and the cbs role imo is as important as the strikers.. They cannot make mistakes a striker can though and get away with it more often. Two top cbs would be a game changer for any side.
I'm saying the other fwds need more goals and assists. If they do they've improved whatever the reason behind it.
Gordon did very well in the first half before he got sent off, he isn't a lone striker. Elanga is much more about runs and assists than goals and needs a striker to play to. We've done fine considering the circumstances, which have been very much against us.
It’s probably too early to worry about that. If we don’t win in the next two games then we need to be worrying. Wolves home. Bournemouth away. We simply have to win one of these two games.
He's a good player, but I'm not going to change my opinion on the low amount of goals and assists he gets.. We're a champions league club and we're sat here saying the only issue is a striker. Good sides don't simply rely almost exclusively on one striker scoring goals. I'll clarify this point because it's important, but Newcastles players in all other positions don't chip in with enough goals and that imo needs to change... Is it really unreasonable what I'm saying?
It's unreasonable as we're only 3 games in. Right now City are in 12th place, we're in 17th and Sunderland are in 6th. Anyone knows things won't stay like that. The only issue is a striker, cos we'd have obviously beaten Villa and Liverpool with one.
It has nothing to do with the number of games. You're off on another escape route with the rest of your post... The league positions are so irrelevant to the point I made. The last paragraph is not demonstrable and it actually proves I'm right. It proves I'm right because if the only issue isn't the striker we could still win games without Isak. Newcastles others players simply do not chip in with enough goals.
What you mean like Gordon, Barnes and Murphy who all got 9 goals each last season? Or Tonali and Schar who got 6 each and Joelinton who got 5. Facts defeat you.
FFS, that's a serious ****tard meme Last season was our most successful in 70 years or so, and we've played 3 games this season in incredibly difficult circumstances. And anyone who cites pre season is a spazz.
I've obviously ruffled your feathers at this point. BTW Gordon got 6 in the PL, so I'm guessing you're including every goal in cups for the lot... Misleading stats basically. It's not enough per game either way unfortunately.
No, you haven't ruffled my feathers, you've just posted the most stupid and misleading meme ever. And with your Gordon stat you've just contradicted yourself too, as 6 or those last 11 results meaningless pre season games. Getting silly here.
