If they penalise that we can all go home. We want good, hard racing, surely.

As he’s now 17th I wouldn’t have taken notice of it either

I know I say it multiple times a season but the coverage of Formula 1 in the UK is utterly second rate, from the commentary to the interviewers.

David Croft needs to be sat down and told his job is not to tell excruciating “jokes” and given lessons on commentating on the action, as opposed to simply having conversations about Formula 1 over live track action.

Not sure why Ferrari bothered pitting Charles there.

Just about to say- he’s had a very poor season.

Definitely can see there is some raw speed but he has looked like a boy hasn’t he. He’ll come good but a couple of seasons in the midfield might help him out if they could loan him out.

Straight fight til the finish now on fresh tyres for Macca - I wouldn’t be surprised to see them come together either, it’s very nip and tuck.

Yeah, fast but ragged, and not really handling the pressure. Hadjar is the star of the rookies, Bortoleto has been pretty decent too.

Did that caption say the Le Clerc / Russell incident is being investigated after the race?

Shame for Norris, but that is motor racing.

Thats the title done now unless Piastri has at least 2 DNFs now as there so closely matched.

Game over. I think Piastri has been the deserving champion over the season, but it's still a shame to see it end like that

It wouldn't have ended like that but for Canada.
Then again, there's 9 more races.

Err? Really not, if you’re talking about the Kimi/Leclerc crash.

The good news for Norris is that this has happened on a day when he was going to finish second. Luck may even itself out and if so it’s unlikely Piastri will drop less points as a result. With the margins so small, what comes next could also be crucial - Will Norris lose an engine, get a fresh one, have to take a grid drop etc. All these could still be pivotal one way or the other.

On Antonelli, it seems Merc are committed now, I don’t see what else they can do. Equally I think perhaps some are judging him harshly for today where a small mistake had big consequences. A far more experienced driver binned it on their own in the same corner (again from a very small mistake), it happens.
