Stevenage to beat Wycombe gets all 9 votes: hardly surprising given a points count of 12 versus 2. Bradford City (11 points) v AFC Wimbledon (9 points) is a bit less convincing with nobody giving the away team a hope but what else can you judge by this early in the season? Similarly Leyton Orient (7 points) v Northampton Town (4 points). There are only two jokers on Stevenage (one of them mine, if that's not a kiss of death) and two on a home win for Leyton Orient. Oddly, there are also two on Wigan where the match forecast are spread 3:4:2 - Lyndhurst (home win) and Ron (draw)
So, now corrected for me not noticing the Lincoln result being out of order on the BBC webpage: You did indeed win the round Ron, including a 6 on the Wigan v Stockport game and 2 x 3 pointers. Away in BC was close behind though on 16 and he overtook Lyndhurst (or St Luke's Hospice Lyndhurst Road to give him his full name) for top spot. Unfortunately the round you missed will hold you back for a while but there are a lot of games to go.
notDistant ....Stevenage won 1-0.....which means you've got everyone's score wrong....including your own. Everyone had it down as a home win....and two had it down as a joker.....yourself and me ?
Thanks for pointing that out. I created the fixture list from the BBC website (as per my own guidance to you all) which gave me an alphabetic order as you’d expect; Lincoln Reading Stevenage Wigan That carries through into the scoring - obviously I only put the games in once. The results though have come out: Reading Stevenage Wigan Lincoln The rest remain in the Kick-Off Time/Alphabetic order so I don’t know why they shifted just Lincoln. It didn’t become a 7:45 kick-off at the last minute did it? I’ll check the whole lot. In checking, I see Sonny Bradley was sent off……
All the scores look fine.....just Stevenage should be 1-0 not 1-1. Everyone had Stevenage down as an home win. No one got a 1-0 prediction....(correct score) So everyone get an extra point. notDistant and Plym get 2pts.....because of their joker on that game.
Yeah but being in the wrong order threw me off. I remember they did this a bit at the beginning of last season or perhaps the one before that. Then though they were listing fixtures in alphabetical order but sorting the results in order of kick-off time then alphabetical. But why one random game?
If as you say "it was in the wrong order".....then should there not be another game with the wrong score ?.....but there isn't ? So isn't it just putting down 1-1 instead of 1-0.....?.....a simple mistake that we could all do.....?
Yes what I presume I did. But normally I can just rattle down the list in the right order. In this case, I must have corrected one but not the other.
Having got that sorted out, astonishingly there are no league games until next Saturday. There are 4 postponements in that round, presumably because of the international break. I'll get the fixtures out soon.
