Has anyone mentioned Alderetes ball controll on the edge of the 18 yard box then outlandish volley attempt in one swift movement? We've had strikers in the past that wouldn't try that. I'm going out on a limb here and reckon he'll score one or two ridiculous goals for us....including against the Mags.

Xhakas best game for us so far. Reinildo was everywhere. Great to see ELF back in the starting eleven. Thought Damsgard was decent for Brentford and nice to see Hendo get the ovation. Ha’way the lads.

    Good post mate.

It takes time for players to get to that point so I hope they're given time and patience ...

... the four you mentioned were all written off at the start of their time here and at various points during.

My policy is to trust in RLB, have a few pints and leave all the decisions to him <cheers>

They were solid and hard to get past, as RLB said small margins won us the match

If Wissa hadn't been left out the team for his move to NUFC it might have been a different story, that said it's another reason to enjoy the Isak saga

Agree Damsgard was good. Was it Collins at the back who was good for them

Unfortunately I had to leave early to make sure I got back to Darlington hospital in time for visiting time (6-7) because I stopped till the end v West Ham and only got there at 6.50!!
I was just driving over the bridge when we scored and I wound the window down screaming and shouting, arm waving out the window. Got a few looks and when I shouted Isidor had made it 2-1 one lad said "I think you are lying" only to find out a few seconds later. His look was priceless when he looked back at me after :1980_boogie_down:

Cheers mate. RLB is like some kind of mastermind at the minute. Infact the whole set up is, we've clearly targeted home form to get the points on the board, we'll win on the road but I like to think any team wouldn't fancy coming here. But back to RLB, he just quietly gets on with it, doesn't seek the spotlight where some managers make it about them. Long may it continue.

couldn't agree more mate. IMO I think we will get better and from the first 3 games the low block and tactics of Burnley seemed to cause problems, but in time I think we will start to find the answers as these players whilst good are still learning about each other.
The speed of play and the incisive passing either completed or attempted will eventually start to bear fruit and I hope we become stronger as the season progresses.

strange, they said ours was onside even though the arm was further forward as 'the arm does not count on offside' yet burnley have had a goal chalked off for offside...because his arm was offside, it's time they stopped feckin about and come up with a set of rules that cannot be argued about.
