Tbf to Bruno the other players are always giving him the ball in very difficult and dangerous areas... It's give it to him because they have no imagination or ability themselves to get out of tight areas.. There was literally nothing in front of him. The side was literally 8 defenders with two **** fwds and even when Howe made changes he stuck with that ratio. Howe gets his arse licked and justifiably most of the time, but that was ****ing dreadful... Roland and others literally called the subs and the minute. My god they need fwds and not just a striker....
True but on this forum he’s damned if he does rotate the squad and he’s damned if he doesn’t. Main thing for me is that we don’t have a threat up front which impacts all the way back down the pitch. Once we have that threat then I would anticipate things improving.
The thing that frustrates me more than anything is the complete lack of attempts on goal. We just pass it about aimlessly, which is why without Isak we do not win. He was absolutely everything positive in our attack, he made the runs, made the passes, had the confidence. Without him we are just rudderless and we lack the initiative to take our chances. Its always one pass too many or one pass too few or just a useless cross. So this new striker needs to not just get on the end of things, he also needs to be everywhere creating because Barnes, Elanga, Tonali and Bruno are not going to score. Theres being a **** player and believe me, Barnes and Osula are **** footballers, but just not even having the courage to shoot is absolutely unacceptable for a footballer.
Points wise would only be relevant atm if the season lasted 3 games which it isn’t. It’s a marathon not a sprint.
One look at Sheffield United would have been enough to know Osula was not good enough One look at Leicester City would have been enough to know Barnes was not good enough. These teams were relegated playing with these footballers, that is all you need.
Only if your glass is empty never mind half empty. You might like to wind people up by being OTT on negativity but even for you that’s a ridiculous comment. It’s going to be hard in any event but with 105 points to play for I’m not going to give that up just yet especially with 2 metre man now here.
Everyone will try and hide behind the Isak situation but what about the other 600 million. How is God's name have they managed it build a squad so incapable of scoring... They can't even take corners free kicks and throw ins. Arsenal Liverpool Man City Chelsea are all way superior. Did you watch that game? Lost only 3 players... We're way short.
We looked so clumsy on the ball, hardly able to control it at times, putting ourselves under pressure, we get into a decent position in the final third then ALWAYS make the wrong decision, it's really ****ing annoying at times.
I think today is a side effect of the last two games. I think you said earlier that Howe with a squad may not be a good thing (correct me if I am wrong) and I think I agree. We had a stronger bench today but the substitutes and formation was confusing as hell. Elanga looks like he’s Usain Bolt with his ability. Osuka is terrible I’ve seen enough. Barnes is a one trick pony. Joelinton was dreadfully missed today.
If we'd won one nil people would be pretending it was tactical masterplan... Unfortunately we didn't, so people will take it out on anyone saying it was a fail.
The team were rightly praised after the first two performances, they have to accept some criticism after that, let's be be fair about things.
Elanga crossing it out of play under zero pressure at the end summed up the performance... Hot garbage
Yeah even taking injuries and suspension to one side at no point in that match did we have the best 11 players available at Howes disposal on the pitch. I honestly am finding it very difficult to understand how after spending about 600 million that we've still got so many of the same faces playing regularly. Oh well.. I'll get told off now, but I stand by what I've said. We were dreadful, the game plan was a fail, the changes were poor, and we're not getting the champions league again next season. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and to disagree.
