Have to admit, I wasn't very confident when I saw Jack Clarke was going to take the pen.

I think Hirst will get dropped to the bench now, he really hasn't looked like being able to score since the season started.

    Me neither.

I think we looked pretty good for large parts of the game and I think we will only get better, teams are just trying to defend against us so we need to work hard to create chances which is the complete opposite to last season.

I thought it was a better performance today, passing and movement a lot better if a little bit rusty. The team looked far more balanced. Started looking more like a McKenna team today which includes being sliced open far too easily.

Ref was abysmal, we should've had another penalty and Travis red carded. I thought McAteers movement and positioning was good down that side but poor final product from him.

Clarke added nothing really when he came on and given how out of form he looks fair play for having the guts and coolness to take the penalty.

Still a concern that given all the attacking talent on the pitch we haven't scored from open play.

From what I've seen today, I think this team will come good the concern is when they do will it be too late for us to challenge.

I actually thought we looked pretty poor apart from the last 10 and injury time.
Still think Leif is way off it.
    Matusiwa yet to convince me.
    Mcateer....WHY?????
Philogene poor, Clarke much better than him on the left imo
Hirst looks like pressure of new signings has got to him

I thought Clarke looked okay when he came, he was trying things and being positive.

There was a bit more zip from us in the first half but we didn’t convert enough possession to chances, not enough composure and quality in the box and awful defending. I would like to see us ring the changes against Sheffield United and drop at least half a dozen of the players that started today. Hopefully we can get back to scoring goals and then buy some defenders in January.

We are so exposed down the middle without Morsy.

I think weve been exposed down the middle for years even with Morsy. Think Luongo did alot in there to cover players, Matusiwa despite maybe doing better for the second covered those spaces generally well today. Cajuste showed some real class on the ball but with him in the double pivot we're always going to be at risk.

I thought you could really see the quality we had in the team today but also you could see this team haven't played much together

Just seen replay of that Hirst pen shout, what a shocker. Nailed on.

Enjoyable 1st half, much better all round. So glad Cajuste came back.

I feel confident in a months time, we will be firing on all cylinders and climbing the table.

    Underwhelming match, very poor,
passive performance. We look bloodless. What’s our ****ing game plan? Possession heavy? Fart around with the ball 25 yards out.

Young, O’Shea, Davis, Matusiwa, McAteer, Chaplin, and Hirst shocking games. Honestly coming out that stadium, felt like a loss. We should’ve won against what was a really ordinary, McCarthy-esque Derby side. We need significant improvement.

I thought you'd some how taken over Nuggets profile Spanish...if not you should be looking to take a copyright infringement lawsuit for copying your style of writing

Plus when have you ever worried that you've been watching a completely different game to me?

1st of all, ref was awful. That being said, it is up to the players to rise above it and deal with the situation. Last 20/25 minutes of the 1st half, we were in complete control but did not get the killer 2nd goal. We were again good following derbys equaliser for about 10 minutes - Hirst getting booked for what should have been a clear penalty was the biggest chance. We became disjointed after subs were made and I didn’t think we would ever score - delighted for Jack Clarke, hopefully that will give him some much needed confidence. Player wise, I thought Matisiwa and Cajuste were ok in CM. young was decent at RB. now the negatives, Hirst was not great and can someone explain how with all the subs, Philogene remained on - thought he was really poor and then I read that we might be sending Ogbene out on loan, I know who I would rather have on the right. Leif playing as an inverted full back is not working, last time we were in the championship, he broke the record for assists by bombing up and down the line - if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it

Despite being several pints in, I honestly feel disappointed by the result and the performance. Unacceptable levels on show. No clear game plan. Barely any overlaps. Whenever we got 30 odd yards out, the team didn’t look like it knew what it was doing.

Young misplaced several basic passes. O’Shea caught out badly for a goal. Davis completely blunt. Midfield unable to play in an attacking pass. Philogene scared to take a man on. McAteer completely anonymous. Chaplin completely ineffective. Hirst couldn’t control a pass, really needs to buck his game up if he wants to start games. Subs limited impact but Akpom showed a bit of promise. At least Jack Clarke wanted to take a player on.

This Derby side were poor. Completely ordinary. The fact they came here and got a point is so disappointing.
