A friend is at the game. He just messaged me saying we've been solid defending all over the pitch, closing down everything and not allowing Grimsby to settle. And we look dangerous ourselves at times. Compare that to the opening games. It's like chalk and cheese. A few more additions with some quality and creativeness and we could be a dangerous club. Even if we don't hold on today, this 1st half 'should' give the players a lot of confidence going into upcoming games because if we can restrict Grimsby to just 3 shots - 1 just on target, and defend well as a team against a team who have been free scoring so far, this can only breed a positive mentality.
