12 shots in the game and only two on target… one each

Obviously Ricardo scores. Shouldn't be on the pitch.

Yep. Awful challenge. That Monga kid is impressive though.
Leicester are such an odd team. Man for man probably the best in the division, but play very defensive, counter attacking football. I would be so frustrated watching it.

Think I prefer this to a Brum win. Leicester be up there regardless but hopefully this might halt Brum's momentum a bit.

I'm sorry, but I don't see enough force in Ricardo's challenge to warrant a red. Reckless - yellow sufficient for me.

The only thing they're missing is an elite striker (for this level).

Obviously they might lose players before 7pm on Monday. And obviously they might have a points deduction coming their way. But right now, I would still put their side ahead of ours.

Which teams have an elite striker for this level? We say we don’t. My Ipswich supporting colleague says Akpom is more of a 10

Norwich do. ChatGPT suggested to me that Hadji Wright at Coventry was someone who would improve saints. Don’t know enough about him to be sure

    On paper Birmingham…?

    They don’t grow on trees

I rate our striker options better than Ayew and Daka. I rate Ipswich's options better than Ayew and Daka.

But in any event, I was merely pointing out that it's something they don't have. I wasn't suggesting they're the only ones.

Wasn’t saying that. I was more wondering which clubs actually do

it’s the same as when there is always a cry to sign a striker and you actually go through the list of who might be available and affordable and the pickings are slim

I did that with transfermarkt last summer and archer was actually one of the few that ended up on a potential list and he was who we got. Strikers are nearly always a gamble because when they aren’t they cost a fortune. Gone are the days where 1m will get you lambert. I know that was a division below but I’m not sure you’d get someone with his record for that now in league one

And as for the championship - the rumour already is that Norwich want more than 20m for Sargent

It’s not happening. Or it will be something pathetic like 3 points

At least 9 is the most likely figure.

Both teams on maximum points are early KO's today. Be nice if they both dropped points.

Do any premier league clubs desperately need a winger? I hope so. Palace aimed higher with Pino

Brentford might have some money if the Wissa move goes through, although they really haven’t played with wingers previously

They seemed to want to sign a Dortmund player as Wissa’s replacement. It really is showing the gulf here. Fatawu looks far too good for the championship but there isn’t any obvious spot for him in an established premier league team

Hamer starts and captains Sheffield Utd. Seems less likely the rumours about Leeds are true then.
