Last report I saw said we are quite far apart on transfer fee, which is allegedly €8m asking price. Seems like something we could easily pay if we wanted to, probably waiting to see what happens with BBD and Edozie

Good news is that neither Jander or Fellows have been called up for U21 international duty.
Also listening to Fellows interview, sounds like Still wants him to be an out and out winger, so the change of formation is coming.

Get a few out & him in (Scienza) & OMFG, what a window! As LTL said, Spors maybe our best signing yet. Always thought the managers position is so significant but Spors & his team, which obviously includes WS, are really shaking up the place. If this gels, Wow! Big if, but looking V nice.

I wonder, if we can't shift BBD and Edozie, we don't go for Sciensa on a permanent and use a loan slot on another winger instead?

I agree that today has been very positive- given that we all knew deep down that Fernandes and Dibling would go.
    But
Our central strikers are poor. Downs has no presence and Stewart, even assuming he isn’t injured in 2 weeks, showed at Norwich that he can’t finish great crosses from 3 yards out.
I would go for a centre fwd now. Even from our level. Like we went for Rickie back in League 1.

I can see some of the players we want out going on loan instead of permanent transfers.

Most central strikers are poor with very little service, hopefully they'll get some now.

We don’t really know that yet. Yes, they’ve both missed a chance in every game, but they’ve missed one chance because they are only getting one chance. Haaland misses chances too, but if he misses one, he tends to get the next, or the one after that.

The point is, we need to get them more than one chance to score in a game, which up to this point is all they’ve had to work with…

The good thing is that in theory we’ve added goals elsewhere to our team. As well as two prolific assisters. Hopefully that will make a huge difference, or at the very least will get us through to January still in the mix when we can reassess.

That is a really good point. I’ve been critical of Stewart before too but hopefully now they will get more bites of the cherry and perhaps only then would it be fair to judge them.

Exactly. Any striker, even the top, top strikers, need at least a couple of chances in a game to score. No striker on earth is banging 20 goals a season in with only one go in each match.

I will say, on the flip side of that, a top, top striker will get himself in a position to get more than one chance a game too. There is that, of course.

Stewart has done that in both the last two games. Of course, off side in the Stoke game. Got there twice but couldn’t convert. A little good but god awful misses.

Yeah and that’s kind of why I was critical but I guess if he has 3 or 4 of those in a game, over a season that could add up to quite a few goals. Up to now, as we know, the service has been pretty sparse. I guess unless we are buying a proven 20 goal striker in the next 3 days, we will have to wait and see. Overall though I feel more confident about the forwards than I did a week ago.

The thing is - we have multiple 'proven' 20 goal a season strikers at the club. And we still aren't happy!

I think it will get to the point with Aribo & probably BBD that we’ll go down the loan route.
I don’t know what would financially be required for us to be able to make a move for Scienza, but I’d imagine we would need roughly £10m-£15m in the kitty, which could come from Edozie & Smallbone if there is any truth in the bids we’ve received.

Yes, he's missed two in two games. That's one chance a game, which is my point.
