I can’t claim to know anything about Simons, but I’m just more impressed that we’ve gone for someone who is a highly regarded up and coming player, and the sort that many teams would like to sign, hence Chelsea’s interest. We’re in a position where we’ve got some really good young talent, and it’s now time we build on that and “have a go”, as they say. The squad has needed signings like kudus and Simons for some time. If we can add a couple more proven premier league players, or perhaps 1 proven player and another talented youngster, we have genuinely “tried” IMO. My only plea to Levy is that we sign them earlier, ideally before the season starts. Signing 1, and possibly 2 more when we’re 2-3 games into the season is my only gripe. Hopefully Paratici will take care of that part in due course. COYS
