Don't woory, I haven't posted it on the millwall site. I'm going for 3-1 to City. Fryatt, Mc Lean and Koren
Im going 3-1.........and the KC will explode with the chant - You should have gone christmas shopping, gone christmas shopping!
I think this will be a lot tougher than league position suggests. Only one win in the last six looks like a loss of form and maybe so, but the earlier winning runs and the more recent 3 win run suggests they are a capable side; the last two fixtures being a loss at Leeds (highflying opponents) and a draw with Cardiff (ditto). Could be a draw, but I'll go for a 1 - 0 Black and Amber win. Onwards and Upwards.
I'm optimistic given our form and their poor away record - 2-1 to the good. (Fryatt, Chester) (Simpson) If footymad's stats are correct, we haven't bested them in the league since the 86/87 season (apart from our FA Cup victory in Jan 2009). I think they could be a potential bogey team like Burnley.
I wouldnt have thought Simpson would be eligible to play ( is there something in his loan contract that prevents him playing against his parent club?)
I have a mate who is a season ticket holder at Millwall and he tells me they are fairly solid defensively but not got too much going forward so I'm thinking we could see another game where we have all the possession trying to score past 10 men behind the ball. If this is the case then the earlier we score the better in order to draw them out a little bit and thus leaving gaps for the likes of Koren and Stewart to exploit. I'm guna go with a 2-0 City win.
I've said it many times, and I will say it again and again, one team is in for a good hiding. Millwall, its gonna happen this weekend. 4-0 Hull Stewart x 2 , Fryatt x2
I've not seen any indication of this ie past results. Playing well is one thing but we're quite a way off battering someone. Don't get me wrong i'd love to see it, just don't think we're capable.
