All we can do is hope, we have some exciting prospects but there are no guarantees in football. Rowe and Sainz only really performed for 12-18months for us - arguably they were in it for themselves rather than the collective. IF we can build a cohesive unit then that will be a stronger more consistent performing team than one geared towards getting the best out of 1 or 2 individuals
Marcondes had a really good early to mid season last year and looked both creative and a goal threat at times but that seemed to really fade after his injury
I'm really disappointed that we sold Nunez our most creative player but £10m sounds a bit generous, unfortunately we blew close to that on players that haven't come good like Crnac & Jarasek . Sargent probably one of the most prolific players in the top 4 divisions scoring in every game is our stand out star by a million miles, selling him too would mount even more pressure on Manning & Knapper. If they don't get a home win soon I can see the fans booing & making Carrow Road toxic. We don't have any continuity they basically sold all the talent then bought 11 new players hoping they will all fit into place . Seems a bit risky , they are looking around for leadership & all thinking don't look at me I've only been here 5 minutes .
Looking at a couple of polls on the PinkUn it seemed to be 50/50, more like 55% angry and 45% understanding
The length of the injury list reminds me of the beginning of last season. There are some good players on the who could help us in games.
Just seen Hucks reaction to Nunez switch. On x a scummer said he was never good enough for them to which Hucks replied that he would rather retire than play for them, and at that time was a better player than any in their squad. Love it, love Hucks.
One for the future, as we've now signed Zach Baumann from ManUtd, a Ukrainian CM aged 18, who can also play as an AM or DM. Good to have a Ukrainian on board, especially as he also has British citizenship. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c74d207nnwxo
"Sunderland made contact with Norwich City over a potential deadline day swoop for striker Josh Sargent, but have ultimately decided against pursuing a deal, according to reports." Knapper must have said 'No deal'. Whew! https://www.sunderlandecho.com/spor...nd-norwich-city-transfer-josh-sargent-5296141
