I could be wrong and regularly am… but I think the u21 exemption thing only counts for ‘home growns’ not loans

 

I've just googled the rules and it doesn't say anything about loans plus he joined Brighton at the age of 18 so he's counted as a home grown player as he would have played in England 3 years by the time he turns 21

 

He counts as u21 and home grown and wouldn't have to be named in the 25 man squad.

 

Think he counts as home grown next year so will add to sell on value then

The rule I remembered is for the EFL where the rules are stricter. In the champ he would have counted towards our squad list. In the PL he doesn’t.

Sorry for the confusion, good news if it leaves us a potential extra place (if we use it).
