I don't think Liverpool are at blame for unsettling the player personally although I am fully aware many on here and the wider fanbase do think so. The people who are promoting this behaviour is the agents and the players, Isak is 25 years old, he isn't 15. The fact the thinks this behaviour is acceptable shows the absolute rot in football, in the football world, you can accept your wage but whinge and cry and refuse to play all at the same time. The game is ****ing ****, we are all just addicted too it.
He buddy I don’t deny it happens but I think we are genuinely still in for Wissa. Wolves wouldn’t play ball with SL so we had a backup plan which I think may have been our first option. Liverpool can have Isak the rat for 140m. He will do the same to you if he’s successful but I genuinely think Ekitike is better anyways.
I still don't want Isak to get his way tbh but if we get this guy and one or two others then saving face is immaterial really. Hopefully Isak does **** at Liverpool... Maybe gets another injury and continues his kieron Dyer like record.
So we put an offer in and it gets rejected. We, therefore, put in a higher offer which also gets rejected. Think that’s actually called negotiating. Your crew contact us to sound out a possible offer of £120M to be told that would be insufficient. You then come back with an offer of £110M being less than the initial amount you mentioned and less than the amount you had just paid for an untried midfield player. You then don’t come back at all. That’s called low balling and designed to deliberately unsettle the player. Might be easier to understand how we feel towards Liverpool if we stick closer to the generally understood “facts”. Capisce?
Fermin Lopez from Barca. https://x.com/NCSL1892/status/1961157440965107746?t=Ppamohqu3SzaQwszyyhVqw&s=19 ****ing hell. Like seriously. ****ing hell.
Exavtly, it’s called negotiating but Newcastle didn’t want to do that with Isak right then it seemed. that next part is all hearsay to be fair.. Calling Wirtz untried is a bit of a stretch - 140 appearances and 31 caps at 22 compared to 110 appearances and 2 caps at 23 for the guy you just signed. It sounds like Newcastle told lfc he wasn’t for sale until replacement is sorted, sounds like lfc just honoured that by staying away and id imagine will come back to table now that replacement is found. The fact Isak threw a hissy fit and stopped playing is just stupid though, but not sure can blame lfc for that one. The agent is the one that prob ****ed that bit up.
They've been talking on Sky Sports about what a great signing Woltemade is likely to turn out to be for us. Interestingly they also made a big deal of what a large part Andy Howe had played in the signing.
I agree with this. I think nufc have told Liverpool that he will be allowed to leave when we get an adequate replacement. I think the fee will be upwards of £130m probably £140m plus addons.
Well if it comes off then credit when it’s due. The window will be a good one if we sign him. If we get Wissa then it’s a great one.
