Quietly confident that our movement, our partnerships and pattern of play begins to flow and our forwards realise where the goal is.

A confidence boosting 3-1 win. Our season kicks off.

Now that Spanish is back on the threads, we’ll keep a clean sheet and score more than once.

    2-0 Town win.

Woolfy’s ‘locked up’ Instagram post hints toward the toxic atmosphere theory. He wants to move on and, frankly, who can blame him?

    Derby have just signed Travis.

    2-1 Derby.

Or maybe he's getting the hump because he's not playing? Hardly indicates a toxic atmosphere (although im not saying there isn't, but that post doesnt indicate one way or the other).
Imo, he's a bit too lightweight for a CB.

To be a homegrown player and air your dirty laundry in public, though? It’s not a great sign at all.

He's always struck me as too laid back a character to really make it at this level (or higher)Sounds like he needed the sort of guiding hand that turned Butcher from a similar country boy into a beast!

That coolness can be an asset too.

I suspect that what has gone is that there were some factions in the dressing room and O’Shea becoming captain put his and perhaps Morsy’s noses out of joint (it could have been decided) and some of the players from the promotion side and coaches like Burgess and Broadhead and Klug and possibly even Omari didn’t like it either.

There’s no way that McKenna would have set out at the start of the summer to lose almost the entire promotion side.

I agree about his coolness,I could see him playing the central role in a back three bringing the ball out to good effect.
We can only speculate about any dressing room rifts.

It’s all speculation; but nothing else seems to add up.

It’s the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. Signings are coming thick and fast. Let’s hope McKenna doesn’t take too long to integrate all the new players so we can kick on.

I thought he done well in most games he played in the PL last season, he reads the game very well and he's our best defender on the ball especially for breaking the press. Agree though he's not as strong or quick as O'Shea still a very good player at this level. In my eyes Burgess and Woolfenden were exemplary pretty much for 2 whole seasons and stepped up when they were asked in the PL.
