Hard lines Wales. Great effort after what was looking like a mauling. Not sure why he brought on Harris who was as expected totally ineffective when Moore and Broadhead were on the bench?
Very true. A fart in a cullender springs to mind. Runs around a lot to little effect. Kieffer would have been a Plan B. I see Sorba has signed for Stoke. Now if we hadn't got relegated.........
Gutting to lose it in the end. It could be argued that Belgium deserved it but after such an effort and bearing in mind the first goal being a shocking decision I really felt we deserved the draw... Still, as Sorba said, wait till we get them back to our place!!!
Wales Ladies getting a stuffing. Missed first half but very poor defending for 2nd and 3rd goals. The scorer had time and space for 2 touches for the second. The third, 3 defenders on the edge of the box time to control and get the ball out. No communication, cocked up header, free cross to far post, full back poorly judged the header, 3 nil. All together, naive and out classed. Backs to the wall and damage limitation. 15 minutes to go.
I was driving so had it on the radio. Sounded like it could have been worse. Tough group. A great experience for them.
It’s going to be tougher for them in the next match. The French ladies have given England a football lesson tonight.
Saw a bit of that game. England disallowed a goal at 0-0 and on top. Even when they showed the VAR image she looked inside. Clear and obvious error? Absolutely not. Big momentum swing after that.
Not ideal preparation. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/wales-team-bus-crashes-euro-32019197
Another one sided score line, but a better performance. AND a first goal at the finals of a tournament. More valuable experience. I heard a quote that Wales have the 3rd highest number of supporters at the tournament. Superb effort from the traveling support.
Kpakio and Lawlor in Bellamy's training squad, but still no place for Rubin. Given his start to the season, I thought he might have snuck in. No place for Ramsey either. Wrexham with representation for the first time in 15 years. 3 recent signings are included.
I think we need 3 call ups before we can ask for a game postponement. The first game is away at Kazakhstan on Thursday 4th September. We are due to play Burton at home on the 6th. Clearly Kpakio and Lawlor won't be available for us so a call up for Rubin, Cian or even Joel would ensure we don't have a weakened squad for Burton. Okay Ng is fit and the new cb Osho should be available but we should take advantage of the opportunity if possible.
Do we have any other nationalities on international duty? Most of them probably left in the summer clearout. Robinson, Turnbull, anyone?
Robinson maybe although unlikely on present form, Turnbull injured. Salech? Not called up for any Danish side yet.
Bellers wants to see Rubin and Joel performing consistently. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...craig-bellamy-explains-cardiff-citys-32365863
