Another finely balanced game which could go either way. Really fancy another home win, but wouldn’t be disappointed with a draw. 2-1 Mayenda brace, with the winner coming in added time. ‘Til The End!! Bart
Any team news on injuries? last we heard was 09, cirkin and alese were injured for the first 3 games, hopefully an update in rlb presser tomorrow and they are back after international break
RTB RLB its time to record another win mates and an improved sharper performance is the first step. Its clear that RLB believes in a group of stalwarts and a blueprint which he is reluctant to change, to be fair to him , this has worked out well long term so far, so lets hope he gets it right from the off on Saturday. If nothing else it might have us all pulling in the right direction which is of course OaU.
Another great thread @RTB , as with the team you have gone up a level from last season. Hopefully the players will be ready for a battle and put the Burnley defeat on the back burner. I'll go 2-1 home win again and fingers crossed it turns into another 3-0.
I have 20 minutes, after the match, to get my train to NCL so hoping there's not much extra time ... ... if anyone's driving back that way I'd be grateful.
Second test of one of the teams that will be down there in and around us. Home form is going to be vital and we must not lose to these teams. I hope we nick it. HWTL
I can but it’s a terrible service tbh. They block off St Peter’s, the Metro from Tesco sometimes bypasses that stop and the times aren’t good. My train from NCL to Edinburgh is 17.55 so I need to ‘make tracks’ My train leaves Sunderland at 17.07 and it’s 20 minutes walk … … the new bridge will really help as long as people don’t shuffle around too much.
This is now a must win for me after the Burnley horrow show, I know some will think that’s knee jerk but after this game I think we’ll be lucky to take anything more than a point from the games against Palace and Villa. We play Forest on the 27th and luckily their European campaign gets underway midweek a few days beforehand so that could be a game we pick up points. Then United away after that is another I expect nothing. If we can take 5 points from the next 5 games I think I’ll be happy going into the Wolves home game seeing that as a game we can win. Need to be taking points from the games against the teams around us and if we get beat, 3 points from the first 3 is poor imo we need to take advantage of the “weaker” fixtures. Burnley and Leeds have a much harder run of fixtures so we need to try and establish a gap before GW8 when they play each other. I genuinely believe Burnley will still have 3 points on the board by then because their fixtures are shocking, Leeds may have a few more with their “easier fixtures” but we should still be able to create a little gap. Outarra is a worry and will be a threat all afternoon but we have enough to win this. 2-1 the lads.
