Good in a few months?.... Really? Id never say he's terrible but his stats speak for themself. Hes not good enough for this level
He's only a kid still and new to the club. Couldn't blame him for taking the chance at the time, it was a set up contract.
Whats a set up contract mean? Also i can blame him leaving a club whuch he's been playing for as a kid to think the grass is greener when he'd 100% be getting game time here now. On the flip side, he owes us nothing after that goal against Sheff Utd. I just feel sad and frustrated about him
I think Saturday was literally the first time he’s shared a pitch with the ‘first team’ including all of preseason. There’s not been much effort out into building relationships beyond the main XI. Even with that though he’s one that is being left behind. I won’t rule out some of the promotion odd making unexpected impacts here and there at some point. People really should look at some of the ****e that gets games at this level. Just hope it isn’t forced on us by the XI running out of gas.
How by constantly running into a crowd of players, getting into good positions and then not knowing what to do? He's literally not good enough at this level mate just admit it. Ill reiterate what ive said previously. Ill never slag him off, he's been a top signing for us but its time him and us moved on from eachother
I mean that the contract he will have signed at Brighton will have set him up financially. A footballer has to take that chance when it comes, as it might never come. I'd have loved him to still be here, but one nasty injury and that deal might never come. Shame, but as you say, he did his bit that day!
Im sorry like I'll always be grateful for the pass at Wembley and the goal at Sheff Wed but he's just never been good enough. He's probably the most frustrating player ive ever watched and his final product has never improved.
totally agree with what you’re saying. His final product is so poor, it proved last night again. Wrong pass, over hit, poor cross etc. great running with the ball but no end product
I’ll always be grateful for Altidore shinning it to Borini vs the skunks. He was ****e and let’s not beat about the bush but so is Roberts.
Yes, there is that. But it is a precarious occupation. In the Championship, were we were when Tommy signed for Brighton, we could nowhere near match their offer. Some estimates have as high as twenty percent of footballers retire through injury and not if you like, through time. This can happen anytime. Most will leave the game. They might only get one chance to get set up and I would never begrudge them taking it.
