seedings not out till tomorrow according to UEFA site but you play 1 from all of the seed groups and would assume we are in group A
Thought last season before it started & even more now, the "league" stage of the champions league is about as interesting as the preliminary rounds of the fa Cup. Either change the comp to a complete league competition where you play everyone twice or just have it as a knockout. The current is beyond poor
Where as I much prefer it. Get to play 8 different teams rather than 3 and end up with majority of teams having something to play for going into final couple of games. Far more interesting that old format of 1 team winning 4/5 games and going through comfortably and 1 team being out of it by game 3 after losing 3 on the bounce.
I agree mate. I hope Slot has learned from last time not to play full strength team every game. I'm expecting more rotation this time.
Same. I actually think this will become the norm and uefa will have to rethink it - domestic leagues will be prioritised because you can close your eyes and go through tbh. Ok you may have to play a playoff game, but you’ll be fresher as you’ve rotated more
Celtic knocked out via pens to Kazakh team that no one’s heard of. Alongside Rangers probably going out, not a great start for Scottish teams. Martin already being questioned after poor start in the league - derby at weekend could be proper feisty one.
They wouldn't be told. Would have nothing of it when they were told the day he was signed that he was a dodgy dodgy keeper. I cant beleive they are playing a half team.in the only mid week comp they have before january. They should be going all out here. Its a 50% side
2-0 hahaha. Onana again awful. Would have been a pen if didn’t score as just clattered the guy trying to punch the ball.
Unpopular opinion I think that’s second goal was hand ball too Forward practically caught it not sure about the natural position thing but looked clear to me but missed the replay Edit They finally just mentioned it on the commentary Not sure how they missed it tbh Think they got carried away in the moment and having just disallowed one
Just hit him on the arm through load of bodies. Not sure knew anything about it. I mean if disallow the goal for handball then you have to give a pen as first of all Onana came flying out missed the ball and clattered into the Grimsby player with 2 hands Actually thought the dissallowed goal was harsh. Bounced up and just hit his arm and then Ugarte punched the ball in.
Yeah that’s fair too tbh It looked like he almost used his arm for It to land on and gain control as I said not seen a replay just thought it odd it didn’t even get a mention initially good game for a neutral though Still expect Utd to turn this around but will be tough
Don’t think any argument it hit his arm - in prem would have been ruled out as rule is goal scores can’t use their arm even if accidental. But old school it was accidental and should have been a pen so justice done anyway… plus it’s united so **** em
