I agree with most of what you say but the club can't IMO be criticised for not trying to replace Wilson as from press reports we clearly have. There is some merit in debating the reasons for that failure but whoever is in charge is dealing in the real world and not the easy confines of a football forum.
I'll criticise based on facts but I'm loathe to criticise based on rumours and hearsay.
Isak I would keep and not sell. I would tell him that there is no chance in he'll of him being sold now or ever to the Victims. I would tell him he has 2 options.
1. Sign a new contract for 3 years at an increased salary with a release clause set at a price we are wanting, say £150M payable in 2 instalments. Release clause effective only next summer and not to the Victims.
2. Train and play as we direct or be hit with a maximum fine every week for the next 3 years.
With Isak we need to set an example on behalf of ourselves and on behalf of football. Forest did it recently with Gibbs-White and we need to follow their lead. Players have had too much power for far to long and it needs to be reined in.

 

My two options to present to Isak

1. Tell Isak we are selling him to a Saudi club for £150m and he can move anywhere he wants after a year.
or
2. We inform him we are sacking him for breach of contract, starting legal proceedings to claim damages for £150m and we will retain his licence for the full 3 years.

 

Not sure if we are allowed these days to retain his registration. Otherwise, I wouldn't be against your suggestion.

The Isak 'solution' is to sell him and reinvest the funds on three quality players. There's never going to be a situation where the owners do anything clever or weird, just like they've never loaned us Neto, Toney, etc., and not overspent massively on someone like Willock.
