Time to get it up following last night's emphatic, (with reservations) win at Norwich. First I'll clear up the Gap question. There are two, the first and earliest a geological natural break in a ridge of hills named after the nearby village of Watford some seventy miles north of Vicarage road the venue of Saturday's game. The Gap is the route between North and South for Watling street the M1 and A5 along with the Grand Union Canal and West Coast Main Line on which trains are occasionally seen. The second and latest is the Watford Gap services which opened on the same day as the M1 in 1959 and has become a cultural reference point for the north-south divide. Many denizens of the night myself included have made use of the facilities in the wee hours. Many celebrities including the Stones and Beatles are said to have stopped there, maybe Watford's own Elton John, apparently Jimi Hendrix thought the then Blue Boar was a nightclub Roy Harper penned "Watford Gap" celebrating the iconic cafe. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...orway-services-stones-beatles-jimi-hendrix-ev. So to the match. We're 10th they're 12th both on 4 points so I suppose the pundits would have this as a draw although we're favourites with some bookies. If the first half errors are ironed out and we show the second half formas against Norwich then my 3-1 away win prediction for the super soaraway Saints has every chance of becoming reality. No doubt others have more detailed comments on selection, formation, result and the possibility of on route hiccups Thirsty work that I'm off for a beer on the terrace by the lock, cheers We're on our way to Watford, We shall not be moved. We're on our way to Watford, The team is in the groove. Ref:- Farai Hallam Ref's ass's:- Robert Hyde and Bhupinder Singh Gill Fourth Off:- Declan Bourne
I guess it's better to post this on here... So what are we thinking?, has anybody pushed for a claim of the shirt on saturday? I'll admit that I missed the game because of an emergency last night, was it a 3-1-4-2 as the Beeb are reporting it?. I'll be disillusioned to see the same starting line up as the Stoke game, surely there must be some changes.
I agree with everyone about the goal - absolutely cracking, but… If that had been against us we would all have had something to say about the defending. Not one of the Norwich players even thought about closing him down.
Due to the **** camera work at the game it also looked like the keeper got something on it? No doubt we would’ve moaned about whichever keeper didn’t save it as well
I'm expecting a game of two halves, with lots of people on the pitch, probably in at least five different colours.
