I see he's been named in the Sweden squad, be interesting to see if they play him or not given that he's had no pre-season or started any games. Training is one thing but game time is completely different.

Howe suggests targets and Nickson is responsible for getting them. Clearly when the owners are stepping in there is a big problem.

Our CEO should be employed by the PIF like Man City have done.

Someone who can make a phone call and greenlight things, not someone who has to contact an intermediary and have them attempt to greenlight something.

Can’t speak for everyone but I only blame Howe and Nickson for who we’re going after.

 

Jacobo Solis should be our CEO. Seems like since he became involved things moved quickly. YAR obviously trusts him which given his position in PIF is no surprise.

 

I 100% blame PIF

1. For not sorting out the CEO role and SD role in time for the window (or putting temp arrangements in place)
2. For giving Howe what seems total control of the club. Howe is amazing, wouldn't swap him for anything but too much control to 1 person is not good for the club
3. Taking too long with everything.....

 

He managed to score 14 and look good in a struggling Wolves team last season. You'd hope he'd better that if given a better supply line, which we should be capable of providing. Might be able to match your hopes.

To be fair, none of us know the facts. I could say we should have been in for, say, Kalimuendo. I don't know we weren't. All I know for sure is Wilson has been gone over two months (and we've known for a lot longer that he wasn't up to the job), Isak's been on strike for about a month and we've played two matches without a centre forward. We can all agree that the Isak situation looks broken beyond repair and Wilson has not been replaced, leaving us with just Will Osula. My criticism may well be over the top but I'm not sure what I'm missing when it comes to facts about not sourcing a forward that's been desperately needed for some time?

 

How many times do we have do this before our management/recruitment team understand that only Forest/Villa/Everton will sell to us from the Premier League. The rest are there to restrict us.

5 days to go and we still dont have any strikers. It's just insane.
