If Stephan is allowed to deviate from the 'project' then we may see a team capable of not losing 7-1.
If we stay on this path of madness then I expect a few more tonkings.
We have made some good signings and some decent ones, bringing in more players than we anticipated. It's up to the hierarchy now to let the gaffer have a bit of freedom.

It's up to the 'gaffer' to do do the job he was employed to do. He's an experienced coach, who's been handed a more than decent group of players.

    Just get them playing.

He was employed to play the style, in the set up that the club has identified. So far, he's been incapable as Marti was.

One crazy thing about this forced playing out from the back is that more than half the time, Walsh or one of the defenders panic and send it long anyway.

The difference is, if the keeper sent it long to start with, the team could have been ready for it, pushed up and tried to win the ball. Sending it long when the team is expecting short literally gives the ball away for free.

If Jimmy is playing right back he's the outlet for the long goal kick, the same way as Marti had it sorted for last 2 seasons.... if you lose 1st or 2nd contract at least you're 50/60 yards from goal, rather than this p1ssballing around with it 20 yards from goal....
Time to be a tad more pragmatic....

I would add that sometimes we are managing to work it through the thirds as they say, but we've been powder puff in maintaining possession, the forwards and midfield are going to need to keep the ball or at least draw fouls...when is Frey back - anyone go to the open training?

You'd think if he was leaving, bigger clubs would be in for him

But he’s playing for Saints tonight! Seems a bit far fetched but you never know

Even if this happens we will still play Cook and Morrison as CBs!

I liked the look of the young CB we got from Aberdeen, looked comfortable on the ball and seemed to read the game well.

Agree but hard to read much into friendlies. Could use a loan.

Hoping it’ll be Mbengue and Morrison but I’d have money on Cook starting.

Play Kone. Get the ****ing ball in the ****ing box. When it’s in our box, kick the ****er as far away as you can. Aim for their corner flag with every goal kick.
