Carrow Road Jitters

High are the expectations
Each year, as August draws near,
But always come re-evaluations
As autumn and winter appear,
Irrespective of all preparations
And plans, to bring us all cheer,
There'll no doubt be some machinations
It's "Carrow Road Jitters" this year

No points or success yet at home
Is something that should cause concern,
But with 'a million and one' games to come
There's time for the tidings to turn,
If those, who were building of Rome
Had plenty of time to burn,
Then Manning, in the Carrow Road dome
Has ages yet, in which to learn.

As I said on the MDT, Captain Darling has replaced the General - so we are actually doing quite well

 

Ps love the reference to the dome

I miss those sensational MDTs written in US sports writer style. I think that was a genuine talent - especially when it wound up opposition fans who didn’t get it
