Don’t like the trade at all, assume the Vikings are going to use the capital gained/cap savings to get a WR
Vikings have enquired about Thielen. Clearly his best days are behind him and he won't be pulling off any explosive plays at 35 but I'd be ok with getting him back for this season. A 6th rounder would probably get him. He'll probably retire at the end of the season as well so it would be cool for him to retire as a Viking (properly as well, not just on a one day contract).
It'd be cool to see him again at Tottenham! Man, this year is already shaping up to a be a repeat of 2017: In 2017: We played the Browns 'away' at London There was some uncertainty about the QB situation I lost my job I got a new job I went on a cruise that went to the BENELUX region in 2025 We play the Browns 'away' at London There is some uncertainty about the QB situation I lost my job I got a new job I went on a cruise that went to the BENELUX region Thielen scores touchdown in London and does a 'soccer slide'?
Daniel Jones named the starter for the Colts for the season, not looking good for Richardson and his career. The Vikings apparently offered **** loads to move up and draft Richardson a few years ago, so given Kwesi’s draft ability no wonder he’s being bombed out after 2 years in the league.
Vikings have traded Howell to the Eagles and signed Wentz. Swapped a 2026 6th round pick for a 5th round pick and got a 2027 7th round pick in the trade.
Yeah this is a good move for once. Sounded like Howell was going to be cut anyway and they’ve recouped the picks they spent on him. Brosmer allegedly looked impressive in pre season so having him as third choice with Wentz as back up feels fine. Wentz can step in semi competently if McCarthy struggles as well.
I see another Kwesi draft pick is gone, Mekhi Blackmon traded to the Colts for a 6th rounder. Definitely need another corner as well as receiver now
**** now I have to change my fantasy team name. It was I see mehki blackmon rising. (As in I see a bad moon rising). Any ideas? Gotta be Vikings player name related
The 53 man roster looks very weak in certain positions in my view. Expect a few more changes over the coming days
And returner Not really followed other cuts but I’m sure there are some players out there who could improve the roster. Did Thielen get cut?
Just checked and he didn’t. I wouldn’t be giving up any draft capital to bring him back, when the reason the roster is so thin is because of using draft capital on trades and poor drafting. KJ Osborn got cut, rather bring him in than spend a draft pick on Thielen. Seems like the Panthers rate him highly as Youngs go to target so it’s not like a 7th would get him (I wouldn’t even want to spend that on someone his age tbh)
Looking through the cuts now and Dante Pettis has been cut, he was the Saints returner and a decent enough option as WR depth. Sounds like Nailor is injured and obviously Addison is banned so definitely need another WR, and one that can return punts is an added bonus
