Newcastle won't care about the fact he's cup tied for one year in a competition you get **** all money for anyway. The manager can use his squad and that's all that's happened. Today's goals are immaterial. He's got a valuation and Newcastle are being encouraged to bid, but haven't yet hit the valuation or structured a deal suitably.
Some plane activities for the 1st time in a while. Unfortunately one has propellers, so it must be Sunderland again.
It's not my money but £60m for Larsen is the pinnacle of our recruitment approach this summer. Needs must so Im behind what they can do but anyone is kidding themselves if they think we have done well. Reality is we have been butt f**ked at every turn and we come back for more. Im just in disbelief at the moment with how PIF have let this happen over the past 12 months. Transformative we were told, they weren't joking.
I guess if he's valued at that price he's probably a good player.. We've currently got nowt. With the exception of Barnes we've signed good players albeit we haven't found anything cheap. Beat Leeds and sign a striker and we'll have had decent enough start. Lose and it'll be fun on here.
I did a basic list of available strikers last week, pulled from Transfermarkt based on value. Openda, Samu, Jackson, Kean, Ramos, Torres, Castro, Hojlund, Vlahovic, Nkunku, Pavlidis, Kolo Muani, Gimenez, Woltemade, Gouiri, Esposito, Brobbey, Emegha, Wahi. Clearly some are bigger risks and/or too pricey (bold), but there's a few that stand out as excellent options, particularly Openda, Emegha, Woltemade, Gimenez and Gouiri - none of whom have CL football this season. As a SECOND striker, surely one of them's worth a punt? We've already missed out on Kostoulas, Kilicsoy, Ferguson, Kalimuendo and the bigger names we went for.
Weirdly, I think we'll be sat here by the time the Leeds match starts with no news, the club seems like a rabbit in headlights.

More weirdly I think we will get 2 strikers and a midfielder in and sell Isak to Liverpool for around £140M+ add ons on deadline day.
Larsen will probably be decent for us if he ends up here. The eye-watering fee though... But I'd guess it's likely we'd be quoted similar or more for the likes of Woltemade or Openda (if they would even consider selling after Sesko going) from Roly's list.
