May be on my own here, but I would keep Seelt at the club instead of loaning out. The lad is a unit, he's proved already he is capable. He will get minutes during the season with injuries and suspensions. etc Just get a feeling we have a gem in this lad
I have said enough re rigg over the years. Think he is a talent but my personal belief is that it's been blown up so high, I am not sure he will go onto meet peoples lofty expectations. That's just my opinion. I have no idea where he should play, probably an 8. But he would get whooped at the moment in the PL. I don't see how many minutes he is going to get for us to continue his development. Might get 10 mins here or there, until the ACON. Guess then we will see where he is at.
I think you have a valid point, The lad is a clear talent, but he isn't Yamal just yet... and probably never will be. He needs to bulk up a bit as strength in the premier league is essential. He will improve for sure, but to what level is the key question.
Depends on the price I suppose, Sheff utd were linked earlier in the window and he would have been perfect for them
I said this on the match thread, the fact the manager basically took the “first team” away to Germany in preseason and left the rest to play the next day basically tells half the squad that they’re not good enough and doesn’t sit right with me, not a fan of splitting squads.
He would have looked even further off if he didn't get that 90 mins against Rayo tho I didnt think Le Fee was too bad last night, tried to make things happen but lacked a bit of care at times He will still likely be our 1st sub on in most games so should get his sharpness up
we aren't going to have a full 11 and bench premier league level in 1 window just isn't going to happen, will take a good 3-4 windows
Tyler Dibling was 18 when he was playing in the premier league last season for Southampton and he looked levels above where Riggy is at right now.
interesting we’ve put ourselves in a position with recruitment that has resulted with him being on the bench he’s not a young lad, more established pro, he came here probably expecting more starts in don’t think he’s done much to not warrant a start but more so they recruitment has even left him behind appreciate we need depth etc but I’d have thought they would have pictured him in the 11 when building
I agree but if we get a big injury on the wing or cm we are not going to have the calibre of player to step up
you can always move players on, just means you don’t always get the best deal. Whatever anyone’s views there will be clubs interested in taking some of our fringe players just might mean we don’t get a fee, or at the level we would prefer.
I was concerned last season and I’m still concerned now, I see the same pattern of play and pretty much the same tactics week in week out, I don’t think we have enough creativity from a central position, it’s a case of the ball going backwards and sideways looking for an opportunity to try and get our wingers to create or do something special, it was so evident against Burnley at the weekend that they just sat in and said break us down after going a goal up, No disrespect to Burnley but we’re going to come up against far better teams and have to break them down!
I'm sure he was considered a first 11 starter, but,as with Rigg and Neil, his form just hasn't been good enough. With all 3,their chance will come from the bench....they need to take it.
